Destiny 2 Adding 3 New and Unique Strand Aspects

When Season 21 arrives in Destiny 2, players will have 3 new Strand aspects to unlock as part of a new pursuit from the Pouka Pond in Neomuna.

Bungie previously announced that three new Strand aspects would be coming to Destiny 2 in Season of the Deep, one for each class. In today's TWAB post, they provided details on what the different aspects will actually do. Players will receive a new pursuit to earn these aspects in the Season of the Deep. Here's what each class will be able to do.

Hunter

The new Hunter Strand Aspect is Threaded Specter. Activating your class ability leaves behind a decoy that attracts enemy fire, providing you and your team with an opportunity to seek out cover. When enemies get close to or destroy the decoy (something that requires "significant damage"), it explodes, dealing damage and summoning Threadlings. This is pretty neat we don't really have any decoy effects in Destiny 2 as it is, so this new Strand aspect will give Hunters an interesting new mechanic to play around with and could significantly increase the viability of Strand in high-level PVE.

Warlock

Warlocks can unlock The Wanderer, which seems to play into the Broodweaver's ability to be a minion master. When picking up a Tangle, it can be woven into The Wanderer that travels through the air to seek out targets once thrown. It latches onto the target, explodes, and suspends the target and any nearby enemies, which can also generate another Tangle. The benefit here is that The Wanderer essentially gives Warlocks a Shakle Grenade without having to equip it. This sounds pretty neat, honestly!

Titans

For Titans, the new Strand Aspect is Flechette Storm. This sounds reminiscent of some existing Aspects, making it so that sliding and then activating your charged melee launches you into the air. This deals damage to nearby enemies and knocks them back, and while you're in the air, you can repeatedly activate your charged melee to launch projectiles that damage enemies and Unravel them. This sounds a little like one of the Titan Solar aspects, but it should give Strand Titans a little more ranged effectiveness, which is nice.
